Meeting the societal need for climate consulting

Climate change and its impacts have spurred rapid growth in the need for climate consulting in virtually every sector. Local to federal government, private industry, and NGOs look to climate consulting to lead the climate transition and develop more sustainable and resilient systems, supply chains, and climate resilience.

The Center for Advanced Climate Solutions is positioning the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as a global leader in climate consulting education and training. In collaboration with partner academic units and institutes, the center is developing a suite of certificate programs designed to meet the growing demand for micro-credentials and specialized knowledge in the rapidly evolving field of climate consulting. These programs aim to equip professionals with the interdisciplinary skills needed to address complex climate challenges across sectors.
